How It Works: 6 Steps

Engage with IA Content

On the Global and Group Forums you'll see messages called Leads.

A Lead is simply a piece of learning content designed to help you lead better — yourself, others, your organisation, or society.

Leads relevant to IA certification are tagged under:

  • Improvement Architecture — Leading Self
  • Leading Others
  • Leading Organisation
  • Leading Society

You engage each Lead with the intent to fully understand and apply it.

Complete the Reflection (Test)

Once you've engaged the content, you click the ⭐ next to the Lead.

This opens a short reflection or test to confirm understanding and practical application.

You choose what level you want to pass:

  • BasicHow confident are you?
  • MediumHow confident are you?
  • AdvancedHow confident are you?

When you pass: You earn Lead Currency (Lc) — more for passing on a medium or advanced level.

Earn Lead Currency (Lc)

Lead Currency is your real-time progress system. Think of it like points — but with real value.

You earn Lc by:

  • Passing Lead reflections/tests
  • Participating in discussions
  • Commenting, sharing and contributing
  • Publishing your own Leads to help others improve
  • Giving IA leadership feedback to others (soon)
  • Your monthly pledge contribution

The aim is for every positive Human Improvement Behaviour to be rewarded, 24/7. The system tracks everything automatically.

Your Certificates Are Built Automatically

Under your Resume tab, the platform:

  • Tracks your progress
  • Calculates your eligibility
  • Prepares your certificates
  • Notifies you when you're close to qualifying

You don't apply manually. Your growth earns your certification.

Certification Levels

You begin by earning Foundational certificates across all four leadership arenas:

Leading Self
Leading Others
Leading Organisation
Leading Society

Once completed, you are officially a: Certified IA — Foundational Level

From there you progress through:

  • AdvancedIn all four categories
  • DistinguishedIn all four categories
  • EliteIn all four categories
  • PinnacleIn all four categories

This creates visible, verifiable leadership maturity over time.

Converting Lc into MEV

Your earned Lc can be exchanged for MEV, our Human Improvement Behaviour (HIB) token.

This means:

  • Your learning
  • Your growth
  • Your contribution

…all carry real, tangible value.

Improvement isn't just recognised — it's rewarded. We are moving away from HIB being viewed as a pure expense. It deserves to become a more important and valued reward.
